2011 KAFI on Hiatus

It is with a saddened heart that we announce the Kalamazoo Animation Festival International 2011 is on a hiatus. With all of the economic challenges the state of Michigan and our generous funding sources have encountered it was in our best interest to put KAFI on hold for 2011.

During this time off we will be restructuring and planning an even bigger event for the future! This new event, which is more in line with our college's mission, will include seminars, master classes, speakers, screenings, installations and challenges of many art forms, not just animation.

With a focus on imagination, innovation and inspiration the new entity will provide a venue for students, faculty and the artistic community to explore and share new technologies, ideas and projects, and an enriched network of opportunities.

As we progress through this transition, we will post updates on this web site. If you have questions or ideas for our new event, drop me a line.

Thank you for your continued support.
