KAFI 2009 OPENS CALL-FOR-ENTRIES
KAFI 2009 opens its Call- for-Entries, with $15,000 in prizes to be awarded. No entry fee. The Kalamazoo Animation Festival International (KAFI) will take place on May 14-17, 2009, and is sponsored by Kalamazoo Valley Community College in Kalamazoo, Michigan. KAFI’s reputation for excellence, education, range of speakers, and commitment to art provides a continuing stage for media artists, educators, and industry professionals. KAFI accepts entries in the commissioned, independent, student, and web animation categories. KAFI is also home to the famous Cartoon Challenge™. Ten teams bivouac at the Center for New Media to engage in a “24/4” cartoon-creating competition to create a 30-second PSA.
